If a Komatsu PC200-8 excavator exhibits "No Crank, No Start" condition:

Fault: The Komatsu PC200-8 excavator does not crank when the ignition key is turned, and there is no click from the starter. The battery is confirmed to be fully charged.

Analysis & Solution:            1.   Check Battery Connections: Even if the battery is charged, loose or corroded battery terminals can prevent current flow to the starter. Clean and tighten all battery cable connections.            2.   Inspect Starter Relay/Solenoid: The starter relay/solenoid is a common failure point. Locate the starter relay in the fuse box and test it by swapping it with a known good relay of the same type. If the starter engages, the relay was faulty. If not, proceed to the starter solenoid. The starter solenoid, often integrated with the starter motor, can fail internally. You can attempt to bypass the solenoid (briefly jump the main terminal to the smaller activation terminal on the starter with caution and appropriate tools) to see if the starter motor itself engages. If it does, the solenoid is likely bad.            3.   Test Neutral Safety Switch: For safety, excavators have a neutral safety switch that prevents starting unless the machine is in neutral or park. If this switch is faulty, it will prevent the starter from engaging. Check the switch's continuity or try bypassing it (refer to the service manual for specific procedures, as this can be hazardous).            4.   Inspect Wiring: Look for any damaged, frayed, or disconnected wires leading to the starter, solenoid, or ignition switch. Rodent damage is also a possibility in construction equipment.            5.   Starter Motor Failure: If all checks above pass, the starter motor itself may be faulty. This could be due to worn brushes, a damaged armature, or internal shorts. Replacement of the starter motor SHA5118 or SHA5122 (depending on the exact Komatsu PC200-8 variant) would be necessary.
